Edward Byrne
Arrested on Sunday over assault

Monday, 4 October 2010

A 27-year-old Polish man has died in hospital following an assault in Coolock in Dublin over the weekend.

Lukasz Rzeszutko was on his way to work when he was attacked in the Newtown Industrial Estate last Saturday morning.

He was severely beaten and left on the road until some time later when a passer-by saw him and called gardaí.

Earlier today, a 20-year-old man was brought before the Dublin District Court charged with assault causing harm.

Edward Byrne, of the YMCA Hostel in Dublin 8, was remanded in custody. Two teenagers remain in garda custody.

Oh God thats terrible the last I heard he was in a critical condition, may he RIP, very sad ;)

it comes to something when a man isn't safe to go to work, it's very sad for his family back home, May he Rest In Peace

There were shoes (runners), tracksuits etc taken from houses around Coolock/Darndale by the Garda for forensics.

There was meant to be about 15 people (at least) involved. Some of them were 15 year old teenage girls ffs.

Goes to show you what the parents are like if their 15 year old daughters are roaming the streets at 4:30 - 5:00 am in the morning.

couldn't agree more noel, these parents have lost control. sometimes it is because they are as bad themselves, others because it would be a hassle for them to give a sh1t
