Missing channels again.....

Me again. posted a while ago and had some channels missing, got 2 lines and if one goes down I change over to the other line. But at mine and my partners properties the following channels are down...

Sky Atlantic
Comedy centre
Comedy central +1
Alibi
Tcm
Sky sports news hq
Eurosport 1
Eurosport 2
Chelsea TV
Premier sports
Mtv Base
Mtv dance
Mtv rocks
Mtv hits
Mtv classic
Vh1

Now I've updated my openbox v8s with the latest firmware open box v8s 3611hd 12/10/2015
Latest channel update.... prog UK 20170410 both have been updated over the network...

Done a multi sat search and during the scan the following failed

Is my LNB Out? Do I need to get a meter on it to align It? Seems strange that both my boxes at both locations have the same channels not working? My friend who also has a v8s and uses the same line as me has only sky Atlantic, Tcm, Eurosport 1 and 2 not working.... but how come these channels still work fine through the sky HD Box? Any help appreciated

Done some digging, seems like the end is Nigh?

Paulh24---this is the openbox section and a member is asking for help re an openbox--not what should he have just because of your views---Z boxes are just as tempremental as other boxes so lets help first m8.
Mr F---if you go via network settings, don't worry about the date--upgrade the latest [last] f/w for your box---allow to reboot then go back to network and download the "Irish sat list" not the UK and that will bring you up to date.---any missing channels now will be down to dish alignment or box.

I had the same problem with my box fella & after chatting with a couple of vips on this site I was told openboxes are known to develop this fault hence why I ditched mine n got a better less problem free box. That is why I said what I said fella.... lets face it though... they are
 
Any box is only as good as you treat it and use it---you may or may not know that I work closely with the openbox/freesat.cn box manufacturers, own many variations and have used many other boxes including E1 and E2 boxes.
The openboxes work exceedingly well for price and do exactly what they are designed to do but like other boxes they need to be set up correctly, operated correctly and a little bit of research [getting to know the box] is needed as with all types then they will operate and run very well.
90% of problems and failures are usually caused by inept operators or lack of knowledge, people read snippets of info, rush into upgrades or attempting to get their box to perform differently and that's when problems occur plus the huge number of clones on sale helps no-one.
But there is a large amount of info about these boxes, lots of support and lots of happy users.
