Motorised Dish

I have eventually moved into the new house and the previous owner nicely left me a topfield 5000 cip reciever and a 1 metre philips motorised Dish, it is currently set to Hotbird and recieves about 1000 foreign channels, i was wondering if i got a vu + solo and connected it up would it adjust the satellite to 28.2e or would i have to adjust the dish manually, Im a complete novice when it comes to satellites any help much appreciated.:beg:

as long as you set it up properley on your vu solo it will move the dish

Hi Satman, could you explain what Uras is and also are the clone vu boxes anygood or should i stick to a genuine reciever as i have read that new clone boxes with the 3.2 chip can take most images.

the clone boxes are quite good however, you do in most cases have to make sure the image is clone safe. ihave one of each and the clone works just aswell as the original. there are also cloud boxes that are cheaper my brother had one of those it worked well however, did run a little hot.
