N line via mgcamd causing internet to slow/ fail.

Hello,

I have a Vu+ Solo2, Vix build Helios 008. I am running an n line via mgcamd 1.38a.

my problem is;

the picture freezes or glitches every 5-10 mins or the picture is perfect and my internet slows right down to the point some devices won't connect. This is only resolved when the box is reset. But then the picture problems restart.

Can anyone help, please?
 
who told you to use mgcamd 1.38a as vix dropped that ages ago and using 1.35a instead,and is box wired to lan?
 
I have VU+ solo2 running a n line with mgcamd 1.38c and have no issues whats so ever with my internet dropping. I have it plugged into tp-link 8-port gigabit switch which is connect to a Asus RT-66n router.
 
Mines plugged straight in to my black sly fibre router. I'm wondering if this is the problem.

I've turned the mgcamd log off to see if that helps.

and given the solo2 a reserved address on my router.
 
my lap top, which is connected wirelessly is used occasionally whilst box is on, but not downloading anything, just general surfing. My ipad and iphone can run slow when I have a perfect picture whereas my laptop can not connect to the internet at all.
