New CCcline But Channels scrambled

Hi All

I have a Skybox F5s had it 12 month now no problems my CCcline ran out Sat at 6.00pm I got another CCcline from a different Provider (I have had 10 from this guy and no problems) I deleted the old line off the box and put the new one on waited a while no sky channels, No Movies all channels were scrambled it was showing then on the EPG but they were not coming on my TV` BBC and all the Freeview were there I deleted the channels from the box and reinstalled them I have done a Factory reset put the channels back on still scrambled, The ONLY channel I could get was that wasn't scrambled Box nation HD that was handy for the big Fight !

I have done a blind scan and got most of the channels unscrambled and they work sky1, sky2 Ect and as you know they are all over the place but when I try and watch them through my Fav and the channel list they are scrambled.

I checked the wires even put the new CCcline on another box and everything is working ok all channels not scrambled.

This box has been working fine for 12 months no problems ? I only put a new CCcline on it ?

I have dumped from the good box everything onto a USB and upgraded on the faulty box No better BUT I can now get Sky 1 !!

Will mgcamd work on a skybox S5S ? and I thought a cccam was the same as a CCcline !
 
i say to people with nline use mgcamd and newcamd list
if you have a cline use cccam
and of course each have their own cams.
 
Just update or reinstall firmware, blind scan, then install line and lastly channel list. Ensure USB key is formatted to FAT32 before each and every action.

Sorry to restart an old thread but does anyone have an idea to why this happens. I had this happen recently. One box it worked, second box it didnt. Seems to be a common issue now with no reason as to why it would. Discovery and asian channels, Movies etc. Some work some dont. Its not often I ask a question lol

Firstly. I recommend you Stay away from them boxes. There riddled with problems. Ethernet port fails. Channel lists are rare or out of date. No one supports them really anymore. They don't support FTP update i have tried but useless.
If you get yourself an Amiko Micro or better still the Sab Micro there around £50-£120 on the bay they will be a much more reliable unit with 2 years warranty. They have an ftp update menu for regular channel list updates and firmware. Depending on your supplier. Rate them 8/10 for picture and sound. There small and can be fastened to the back of your LCD tv.
The other box i recommend is a Enigma box something reliable like a VU+ or Cloud 2+ they seem very stable and don't crash like other boxes. again depending on your supplier should be setup for auto update and you insert your CCcam through your computer then. No USB pen lark. The other box we use here is the Octagon SF2028HD now not much support yet on these but i have one with a twin DVB-s tuner also with a modded internal 500gb Hdd and the emu working perfectly. Works with a card also. Also instant no freeze or lag between channel change. I rate them 9/10 for ease of use and clear Picture menu feature. Clear and outstanding picture and sound quality.

Hi Reaper

I tried that and still no joy I can get the sky channels Sky Sports 1,3,4,5 box nation if I search around on the SkyB2b section of the channels but the Fav Sports channels all scrambled except Sky 1 and box Nation is some Asian Channel.

SO Can ANYBODY explain why when I only changed the CCcline I lost all my channels I have changed the Cline on other boxes and no problems they have been fine and still running OK ?

What if I did a EROM upgrade 8Flash ? Any more ideas please

I had a similar problem, where some channels were scrambled and others weren't. I bought a no signal fix off ebay and now works fine, don't know if this would help you but it worked for me.

USB Dump Files

Hi All

Firstly I would like to Thank all the replies and your Help !!!!

Secondly : I have sorted it Out all channels now back on the Favourites and all running I will post how I sorted it hoping it will help anybody else who gets this problem !!!


A mate of mine that I sold a box to last year and I put a CCcline on stopped me and said it had run out so I got a new CCCline and put it on his box Everything was running OK all channels working NOT Scrambled, So I put a blank USB stick in and Dumped everything to it abs. files and channels everything I could Dump including his OLD CCcline.

When I got home I did a factory reset and deleted all the channels on my Box put in the USB stick and upgraded from it, I put my OLD CCcline back on (that had run out) and checked the Freeview channels All OK I then put the new CCcline on and BINGO Everything back to how it was all Sky Channels , Movies Everything working Fine.

I think the moral of this is : DONT delete your OLD CCcline just put the new one on and take the tick off the old one.

Something so Simple !!!!! But its sorted !! again thanks for your assistance Guys

And Orange Box I think you give up to easy m8 Most Problems CAN be sorted !!



Quick UPDATE : I had another Skybox F5S and it was exactly the same all the channels scrambled Except Freeview ones but that was not because of a CCcline renewal. I did exactly as I did Above and now have that Box up and Running Perfect !!!!!
I am so pleased I sorted it and hope this will help others with the same problem glad its Friday I can Celebrate now with a few BEERS !!!!!!!!!!!


Another Update : After thinking about it I decided to add a link for the USB Dump Files thinking these could help you !! click on the link below select all the Files and download put them on a USB and follow how I sorted it from what I said above I'm not sure if the CCcline is on this USB in the dump file so if not put the CCcline that's in the folder on your Box before you put a live one on Hope this helps someone .

A very nice and lengthy advert for a business supplier---you are trying very hard to peddle your wares in the wrong section of this forum.
This is the Skybox forum and here we discuss and help each other with the aforementioned boxes.
We all have a choice and preference but hard selling of rival boxes within this section is just not on. Why not find the relevant section for your wondrous boxes and repost your selling spiel there and let others enjoy what they have.

No they don't. The gift info can be protected when the new image is flashed.

No it's not. They can be flashed using the LAN Tool.

Skybox.cc has the latest firmware. How do you define "out of date"? It's meaningless when it comes to firmware, as it's released when & if neccessary.

I agree that openbox/skybox are not just plug & play, but provided you know the limitations, I think they are good value for money. If you are prepared to do a little bit of work yourself to keep your channels updated then they are fine.

I supposed I'm a bit biased, as I like to tinker with things. I don't often watch much TV, despite having hundreds of channels to chose from. I would soon get bored with a box that did everything for me. :)

Hear Hear I agree soon as I read Orange Box's his first post I thought straight away he is selling Boxes !!! and correct this is a help forum !!
