NEW Memory

yeah, check the speed is compatible, if not, it wont work:)

Once it is the correct type of memory, speed won't be an issue.

Most motherboards (in the last 5 years at least) will automatically clock back the memory speed if RAM of a higher speed is installed.

also heat spreaders are for high performance so make sure you even need that type of memory otherwise your just wasting money!

well i do have my CPU OC's to 3.65ghz and my curent mem i have OC'd as well ddr2 800 up to 1066.

thats the main thing i am working out right now what is a good compatible mem for my GA-EP45-DS3R. i know that crucial mem is not compatible at all. i have had 3 sets fail on me.

found settings for ya to ramp it up to 4 ghz if you want to give it a try

ive rerad that corsair memory has problems with that mobo too, compatible brands are Gskill, the mushkin, and geil. might have to change voltage settings in the BIOS so ive read aswell for the new memory, maybe this was a problem for other memory failing?

OC settings are for CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 if thats what you got.

heck that is awesome. there is some things in there that i havent set mine to...

but i have the E8400 3.0ghz. and actually i have my crucial ddr2 800 sticks in right now. my Muskins are in RMA mode. but i will give this stuff here a try.... thanks for the info axxxo

you also want to make sure your cas latency is the same as your other sticks if you are serious. otherwise you will have timing issues.

oh i dont plan on combineing the 2 different memory stick. im gonna order new mem this next friday. it will be 4gb 2x2gb sticks.
