Noticed the Volume now Top Centre
and updated Spinner icons
both looking spot on...

That last option in the recording settings I guess someone will bring up at some point still overlapping but I think you've already mentioned what you think of that

Speed wise, I haven't noticed as I'm using a customised setup I've built up using your bare bones setup guide...

However, I'm seeing the spinner a lot less since the compression updates, so it's probably having to think less.

I was having cache issues at around 95% full when I checked on the plugin, not sure if this was down to the skin, but it's gone following updating the skin to the latest version

It's quite a unique opportunity that we can get involved in something like this, without your input and your effort it wouldn't happen

Just need someone to come along and smash up the HD problem like you've done with the junk looking skin you started with - how people have the nerve to moan about yours now is beyond me!

You reserve every right to have a moan and a kick off when people come out with randomness (the classic post being #662 sandwiching your 2 posts very conveniently has been quite a highlight)!

Top job kiddac, hope you get a keg or two more! Careful you don't become an Alco!

that's the problem though.

it doesn't have a screen name where all the others do. It is just referencing that file.

I suppose I could overwrite that file in my ipk.

cornorth... I don't think anyone is really moaning. They know I am trying to do the job properly. So any imperfections they are highlighting. They know I am capable of trying to fix their issues. Yes there are some new people who haven't really seen this skin develop and the major hurdles I have had to get it to where it is, but that's always gonna happen. Not everyone has been here since the beta stages. But on that note everyone should go back to blue HD or fraggles for a couple of days and then see how far we have come with this one.

You should know me by now, if someone gets on my nerves they get it double barrelled.

As for the recording settings I can't fix this really without removing the divider bar. Movie list setup settings osd 3d setup, I cannot fix this as they don't have an individual screen names. They just call in the general settings template.
 
Due to some of the PMs I get and some comments on here, it's great (and also a pain in the ass) that people are showing an interest in my code and possible doing there own skin or at least amends. Who know in another 3 months there might be another fantastic skin alternative available from our members. Remember this is my first ever skin (and last) it was all new to me (and still is) but with a bit of reading from various sources it can be accomplished with a bit of effort (lots of effort).

er... isn't that obvious... you are reporting a post. because it the content is breaking forum rules, someone is being offensive to you (cough), someone is being racist, someone is causing a flame war etc etc.

It will be flagged up to the boss hyteck or the mods who will take appropriate action.

So don't press it on anything I write. ha ha

I remember when I mentioned those dreaded 3 letters! You know what I'm on about kiddac lol but in the end we moved on and I ended up getting you a pint because I've see how much effort you've put into this and think you've done a fantastic job, I for one am loving using your skin it's a joy to use well done sir!

I'm looking to upgrade fom v1.6 to v1.7 but can't figure how to delete the v1.6. I have looked in var/volitile/temp and can't see the old version there....
 
from 1.6 to 1.73 you shouldn't need to delete it. Just install the ipk package and it will overwrite the old.
If it doesn't change the skin to default skin, then go plugins...remove plugins...skins...

U need to go into ur plugins menu and press red to bring up the list of installed plugins on ur device. Navigate to skins folder and delete slyk v1.6.

Then ftp the new v1.7... to var/volatile/temp and install it via the usual ipk installer.

Then do a full reboot (not just a gui reboot) and u should be good to go

the tmp folder is exactly that. It's a temp folder. Any ipks in there will be deleted on a restart.

When the going gets tough there is always one person I can rely on to like my posts. So I am going to give a special shout out to Bangord30. Where ever I go, no matter which thread, he follows and likes my posts. I admire his dedication. He's my little stalker but I would be lost without him. Keep up the good work kid. Excellent, thanks guys! Easy when you know how - i can't believe i never thought of deleting in plugins! For some reason the after the 1st restart i had only FTA channels and the skin was pretty slow but after second restart all channels are back and the skin seems much quicker than v1.6. Very happy, keep up the great work.

My only suggestion would be the volume skin is now in the center and I prefer it on the left side - just my personal preference though, the volume skin is better than the previous version
