Right I am back on openatv tonight. I am not really seeing any of this major slowness people are reporting.
It is probably marginally slower than vix, i.e some of the scrolling between menus seems a little less fluid but it's still fast and switching between menus there is a minimal delay, where as vix seems pretty instant.
Channel select (tv button) is instant.
OK button is instant.
Everything else is out of my hands.
Changing channels takes about a seconds (but so does vix I presume this is just while the tinternet does its thing)
EPG. My graphics load straight away and it's only the data that is a little slow to load, but that is a data problem, nothing to do with my skin. Also depends on how many days you have your epg to pull data in and what sources. I usually only have mine set to 2 days.
This is testing on a pretty barebones build though.
The only plugins I have got installed extra are
cacheflush
xlmtv-importer
emc has been deleted
metrix skin has been deleted.
One thing I did noticed though, ( and I don't know whether this is to do with the bootlogos I have installed) , On initial load the free memory drops down to about 20%. A quick cacheflush manual clean whacks this back up to 50%.
So for anyone experiencing a slow openatv just try a manual cacheflush should give you a bit of speed back.

** edit after a bit of a play around with this there seems to be quite a bit of a memory leak on this build. **
Within about 5 mins it can go very slow. Checking the memory in cacheflush it rapidly drops to about 0.5% until cacheflush kicks in and clears it -
** this is not relevant to my skin as it also seems to do it on default skin **
I haven't run a software update yet, (using a build from 11 Nov) so don't know whether that fixes anything.
I have done some reading on other forums though, and they recommend to whack the cache flush size up to the max 20480kb.
My cacheflush settings now are
Yes
pagecache,dentries and inodes
yes
15mins
yes
1 second
plugins
20480kb

Back to the skin....
I have been through every screen I can find, and there only seems a few elements I have not skinned.
LED Display Setup
and a few plugins in InfoPanel
CronManager
JobManager
SwapManager
SundtekControlCenter.
I also need to go though openatv default skin to see if I have missed anything in there.
I will get cracking on these tomorrow, they are rarely used though, so no urgency. Just need to do them for completeness.

Sorry to be thick but when i downloaded this and ftp to my box my box says nothing to install. When I unzip do i put all the folders in tmp?
Any help thanks
Dropbox is weird sometimes. Sometimes it downloads the IPK some times it downloads bleeding everything as zip.
If you have downloaded a zip file you need to look for a file called.
enigma2-plugin-skins-slyk1hd_1.92-20151122_all.ipk
this is probably in a folder called skin if everything has downloaded.
It is this IPK file you transfer to your tmp folder, then follow the rest of the instructions on page 1 to install.
