When I press right then info the infobar shows at the top of the screen and doesn't show the programme name it says the channel it's on ie channel 5

To be perfectly honest I have no idea how you are doing that. My buttons must be mapped differently on OpenAtv. Going through the settings I can't seem to get mine to work like that.

Looking at the default skin code I have made an error and I have found the solution anyway. In infobar-templates.xml find

<screen name="SecondInfobarProgramNowNameTop">

source="session.Event_Now" render="Label" needs changing to

name="channel"

I think this will still display the wrong time for this though. At the moment I can't seem to find the answer to that bit.

I will add it into my next update.

Looking at the default skin, the original blue hd and the InfoBarGenerics.py component for this screen, there is no code for bringing in the time on the secondinfobar if you switch between now and next, so I will have to remove the time in the title and just have the program name.
 
yep... to be honest my graphics were that spot on in the first place you will not notice much of a difference but it does look slightly sharper. I have replaced the coloured buttons, I have replace some of the icons at the top, I have replaced the gradient backgrounds, I have changed some of the colours, I tried a different sky screen font, but the skinnier font doesn't play nice with this operating system so I am keeping the original fatter font that is already on it. I am also in the process of removing surplus coloured buttons at the bottom of all the screens. So instead of display red green blue yellow all the time it is going to just display 2 or 3 where necessary. I have fixed some of the issues johnjohns keeps harping on about with text overlays etc. I am also going to make it easier to add in the skin extras. All extras will exist in one ipk, so there will be no need to load in separate xmls.. This will just now be a simple edit in the skin.xml. I am also going to try and move the radio.mvi to somewhere else to stop it clashing with bootlogo plugins.
 
dsayer... johnsjohns is on about press OK button twice and then he is pressing <>. But mine doesn't work like his.
 
mine doesn't either it shows the first pic without info

on openatv we have the button setup menu, where you can tweak what certain buttons do but I still can't get it to work like he is saying.
 
same with vix but im happy the way i get it apart from i had to change the info button that showed the epg so i changed it to show info even when using a fresh install not a backup
 
ok pal seen as your still changing a few things at the moment i just want to show you a couple of things I've found.....
when i press ok to bring up the info bar the channel name displays fine, but if i press ok again to bring up the programme info it cuts of the name of the channelIMG_1876.jpgIMG_1877.jpg

also if you press blue to create a swap file the text is cut off in the selection boxView attachment 15161

sorry for the sideways pictures i really don't know why they display like that! also in regards to the problem with the channel name cutting off when bringing up the programme info this only happens with very long channel names not all channels.
 
no1gooner can you repost your swap file problem. The attachment is broken. Also are you on VIX or openatv. The screens are different in both. You can take screenshots easily with your laptop. Just type your ip into the address bar. Then grab screen shot. Right click save to computer. And then upload here.
 
sorry about that kiddac i can't get to the box right now (missus has taken charge!) hopefully you will be able to see the earlier attachment now also I'm on vixIMG_1878.jpg
