I have a few options here

I include the programme description at the top here. Most skins don't on this screen. Should I keep or remove the program description. It can still be got by the info button, which will bring the eventview screen up.

Right side of the panel. Do I need to repeat the icons, SNR, Tuner on this panel. Or should I remove them and have the program names full width.

Coloured buttons at the bottom. Do people use them on this screen or do most people tend to go to the full epg to set your timers etc. Obviously the buttons still work, I will just not broadcast it on this screen.
The alternative to the coloured buttons is to have <> Channel ▲▼ Time. (which is opposite to infobar but correct for this screen).

I am finished working on this tonight, so I will check back tomorrow for peoples input on it.

Better if info is displayed when info is pressed makes more sence.
Icon snr etc same as normal infobar i would say.

I only use full epg for timers. Colour buttons not needed channel up down would tidy it up and look better mate
 
So I've made a full backup of this image to a formatted USB, and so to flash to a brand be box, is it as simple as plugging it in and it flashing and been all fine an well an working like my original box with out doing anything else??

There is now 4 versions of the quickepg which is just a simple edit in the new extras.xml. So you can have it which ever way you like. Description / no description, coloured buttons or channel/time

to be honest I doubt that is gonna happen unless I have a very productive evening and day tomorrow. my latest amends have broke a lot of screen layouts. I have got to go through every screen again. But you never know ;)

I for one can wait until your 100% happy with it, I've been around long enough on this thread to learn to be patient as each new release just got better and better, it's not like the current version isn't excellent as it is anyway, once it's done rest assured I'll chuck another beer your way.
 
As I keep saying, don't expect anything radically different. This is just a tidy up on an already tidy skin. Just changing a couple of things from when I was wet behind the ears when I first started this and making it a lot easier for the users to personalise it without having to route through the various xml files.
 
With the different options we have now for the info bar and quick epg will these be a case of edits to a file within the skin folder which you will include instructions for?
Or will you upload the individual file's for each one people prefer and add it to the skins extra section?

In all fairness you could of just hung up your boots with the last version, I think in general the majority was happy with it how it is, but you've carried on to make changes and give people options with there requests, you wouldn't get that level of support with any other skin and you've never asked for anything in return except for the odd thanks here and there.
you have my respect and the fact you've still doing more warrants another cold one!

In my download folder there is currently an extras folder. This is separate xml files that people have to overwrite the files on their box with. This is a bit of a pain in the butt. So now I have included all the edits in my main skin package(or will). Various different edits will then be available by just editing a single file that will be called extras.xml. Don't worry full instructions and explanation will be available on the new release.

This could just be me - and I can't remember if this happened on the old skin - but ... does everyone else get their autotimers highlighted on the EPG? As they aren't for me
 
hi guys this mite be total off topic, but can the slk1 skn i dont know if it any thing to do with skin but will it make to auto time better ,
as i know it was play up and recording every thing over, can it be set to be more like sly series link?

just asking as it would make it more wife friendly and we all now happy wife happy life:highfive:
