New Vix Apollo 153 zgemmastar sucmnsee backup set up

I have this up and running and it does look good but I'm struggling to get my line to work. I've FTP'ed it into newcamd.list but just blank screens so far, any ideas?
 
Keith, Did u use ur own newcamd.list or edit the one there? Only changing the ********* bit.

No if its a N line like urs just EDIT the file /usr/keys/newcamd.list. only enter ur address, port,user,pass in place of the *******. Leave rest same.

I tried the blue HD skin to test it and it works 👍

now to try and get picons working, got a usb hdd plugged in the back and cant put a flash drive in the front (2 young kids)
 
U get the folder called picon and ftp to /hdd.

Channel selection settings. Show picons. Yes
epg
graphical infobar. Change to picon and service name.
graphical epg. Change to picon and service name.

still no luck, i ftp'd the folder to /hdd but its just showing the default bluehd icon for everything. I read somewhere that i need to use a usb stick or something :(
 
Yes!
you should have a usb set up. Initialised. Epg/tts/recors/swapfile all set up. Have A read through the threads for instructions

Well first many thanks to sucmnsee for making it so much easier for us!

Took me ages and many formats before I got the box to flash.
In the end it flashed when I rebooted using the zgemma remote rather than hitting the power button on back of the box.

All set up and working now but with one snag,
I couldn't get the swap manager to enable .
I suspect its the USB stick so will try another later today.

Thanks to Sucmnsee for this excellent image, got my box yesterday flashed this image followed your guide on how to get my HDD set up and nline up and running and all is good. I’m a complete beginner at all this having come from an Openbox V8S but the Zgemma is so much better!

Only questions are; I’ve still no clue about autobouqets and EPG?! I’ve made the changes and it’s working fine but I seem to have 3 providers? I haven’t got my head round that side of it yet.

Also I did the display clock plugin fix but it’s still not showing even though it says ‘true’ where it’s meant to?

Lastly just out of interest, I know not to update this custom image but do you occasionally do your setup on an updated image? I’m way off being able to flash the latest vix image and get it set up myself, so much to learn!

The instructions on the download page, can this be set up to have the USB in the front port ready for EPG, record, etc. as using Wi-Fi in the back
 
As far as I'm aware- as long as you can see it in 'mounts' then it should be ok.Make sure to set the EPG path/timeshift/swapfile etc to it
 
Has any one tried a software update from this image as running a custom 153 image on my Zgemma and updated to 165 then 166 last night

I had same problem until i found you have to hold the front pannel on/off button pressed then turn on power at back then will show flash let button go

Hi all, thanks for the image, I have a problem! I've set it all up, connected my line (checked on the server, it's connected) but non of the channels will come on (just a black screen & no audio). Free view is working. Has anyone come across this before? Thanks

Update: Sorted it, not sure what I did, but it's working!!!!!

Keep irish provider and then ur local just.

if the front of box is blank go to:
Menu
setup
system
front display and turn brightness up.

New vix 165 tonight. Few bugs fixed like voice over. Much better kodi. Took away the picons as too slow

And ive been told server is connected many times but when they reset it it miraculously starts working :)
