I have no audio on my pc after reinstalling windows xp. Which is a major tragedy for me cos i love listening to you tube.

So what do i need to do to get my audio back?

It's an ancient Dell heap of rubbish noely, i guess i should look out my old driver disks and reinstall them then?

You should always use Driver Max when re installing an operating system ;)

Post the model & I`ll have a look for you :) Or if you have the Dell drivers discs then that should do the trick.

To get the Make and Model of the PC when using XP you can try the following.

Start | Run | type in:
Code:
dxdiag

then 'OK'

and now report back what it says for system manufacturer and system model.

Yeah, just downloaded a load of drivers from there now, hopefully that will do the trick :)

Thanks noely, dan, sedge :)

Driver Genius is very handy also as you don't have to a backup before you reinstall windows, it knows what hardware you have on there. I have it if you need it Eva. (y)

hey eva,if the drivers dont do it i beleive microsoft still offers free email support for xp.when my sound went down it wasnt the drivers.microsoft support walked me thru it and it wasnt hard at all.
