The only advice i can give you is to,
1) Ensure you have the correct latest firmware installed
Here it is, try installing it and then factory resetting your box before scanning.
2) Ensure you are connecting to cable in connection on the Kryptview.
3) Forget connecting to the Internet at this stage, do not connect internet until you have got to the stage where you have scanned channels in.
4) Forget going through a splitter for now, put cable feed on direct from feed supply just while you are troubleshooting trying to get channels scanned in.
If you can get the channels scanned in, then you can introduce the Internet, splitter, RJ45 cable. Until then leave off.
It is possible that your cable box is faulty.
