I’ve been using my nvidia shield box now for a couple of years and still find it a great buy, now they did send an update through for it this year,although I didn’t really see any difference, probably because the update didn’t apply to the things I watch. So I did do a comparison, I watched sky through my sky box ( latest newest box) I put on a movie, which was great, then I watched it through my shield box, and it was a huge difference for the better, the picture had been upgraded, either through AI or just the shields superior upgrading quality. Compared to the Bedrooms Fire stick, I’d opt for a shield box hands down, but then the shield box was more than 3 times the price of the fire stick, it’s just a matter of how much quality your willing to pay,…..now I had some problems with the fire stick, firstly the volume button stopped working, then the Alexa button went next, I tried all of the quick fixes, and was told, by a tech guy, I know really really well, that to get it working again like new, I should do a factory reset, but then that would lead to a whole shed load of bother, like passwords etc…So I just left it alone as I can use the tv remote for volume, and I never use Alexa…..but the shield box hasn’t missed a beat since buying it second hand of a chap. So if they were bringing out a new shield box that was way better than the old box, I’d guess I’d buy it again, because they are just that good, at Upscaling, ease of use, they are super fast, never had a day’s bother from it…..yeah still a great seller I believe, coz there worth it….❤️🙏🏼👍

You can put anything on these boxes, we watch a load of angling on YouTube at 4 k. The trees in autumn time for instance really stand out if you’ve a 4 k tv, the Reds, golds, greens, of the leaves 🍁 look fantastic and the real actual sound of the river going over a waterfall are really astounding,, even after 6 months at the start of using we are still finding out new stuff it can do. Plus if your a gamer, it comes with its own gaming platform to use, which is great to wile away the long dark winter evenings.
