Nvidia shield gaming setup

I have just bought an Nvidia shield and want to get it setup for gaming, I'm looking at running classic arcade games so what the best emulator for this?

Depends what era games you want to run, and what ROMs you have access to,
I use MAME4all
It's not on a shield tho, it's on RPi 's , 1&2

thos of arcadepunks have all emus in em n loaded i run the 2tb on a custom arcade + 1 on a pi

I've got classic boy working but I have seen a recomdation to use Lemuroid.

Lemuroid reviews not great on playstore, what device are you using it on?

This look very good, but seems alot of setup to do

nah not on pc harddrive i just downloaded n unzipped same with pi4b tbf not sure on how sheild would b done but as said loads of vids on youtube

I saw a report on it and decided to give it a go on Nvidia shield 2017. I installed via apk and then just copied some ROMs to a USB stick and told the lemuroid where to look for the ROMs. Everything loads easily but in the short period I tied tonight the keymapping was not working correctly although in the settings the Nvida game controller is shown as used.

Performance is good up to mid-late 80s games
Double Dragon is about the latest game that is playable without any loss of performance, which suits me fine as I have it set up vertically for the classics, space invaders , pac-man, Donkey Kong , Boot hill , 1942 , etc.
I'm sure one of the newer Pi's would play later games with no issues tho

Set up Lemuroid on my phone (at work ) works great!
