Hi all, got a strange problem on my 3 Octagon SF8008 v2 Boxes using ATV 7.6 with My Metrix Lite Skin
The A Tuner Configuration was all Set up for 28e,19e,13e and 0.8w...ok so far good.
B remained "not configured" don´t use it.
After the initial set up the A Tuner Scanned the correct Sats but after ReBoot then showed 128.5e,16e,7e, and 9e.!!!!
now i cannot Scan or check the 4 Sats for which i have a Dish because the A Tuner has mysteriously lost its original settings.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks

Do you have a plugin to update channels or satellites.xml? If you can't select 28.2, it has been deleted from the XML file.

System version is in /etc/tuxbox/ user version which has higher priority is in /etc/Enigma2/

@bmitie, Yes its the same fault on all 3 Boxes cos i use the same Channel List.
I rebootet after installing other plugins

@Abu Baniaz, I have checked in both locations, the Sats that we watch ARE still listed. I even loaded a new more recent image
release thinking they come with new updated satellites.xml. but no change..!!

But i tried something else and changed the Tuner Cable from Tuner A to Tuner B and rebootet to activate the Tuner B
and it seems to be holding its memory. I have tried the Reboot several times
The Boxes are from around 2018/2020.
Could it be that the Tuners have gone?

Thanks Guys maybe time to get the Supreme V3

Some channel lists stupidly replace the XML files. They use wrong and outdated versions sometimes.

Check both locations and attach the XML files. You will have to rename one of them if you have two.

This is a software issue, not hardware. If the tuner had failed and cannot be detected, you wouldn't be able to see it in the tuner configuration. Other failures would result in scan failures, not configuration issues.

Abu Baniaz,
i have made another satellite.xml file from 75e - 45w , where is the best place to put it in /etc/tuxbox/ OR /etc/Enigma2/
can i just replace the whole satellite.xml file and overwrite whats in there?
Thanks

I think you should just use the official one provided by images and not replace it with a broken one.

With regards to where you put it, the issue is what the channel list you are adding is doing. if you put it in system location and the channel list puts it in enigma2, their one will override. Best to overwite the whole file.. An error in the file could also cause the issue you are experiencing. utf8

Here is a direct like to the PLI one, it is updated almost daily. You can right click and save the file.

And the one used by OE-A teams. The weekly updates seem to have stopped

Edit:
They are both obtained from lyngsat.
