Open box v8s update help

Hi I've had my open box v8s for over a year now. Is it worth updating the firmware? And if so could someone please point me in the right direction to find the right update.
Also I've noticed another family member has extra apps such as YouTube on theirs, I've opened the hidden menu and it's not on mine would an update add these to the box.

How old is your firmware? As since the last version in September 2015 none of the apps have worked!

Thanks for replying. I've Just had a look and that's the version I have. Is it worth trying to downgrade to a version when these apps worked? Or should I just leave it seems as it all works fine?
 
If you downgrade you won't have your upgrade by network facility.

As I recall the old apps, YouTube, youporn and weather app were all pretty poor anyway!
 
Thanks for that, I usually upgrade via USB anyway, but didn't want mess about downgrading if the apps weren't worth the effort.
I'll take your advice and leave it alone. Thank you again.
