openbox v5s won't connect to VM super hub 3

Hi Guys,Friend connected a new VM super hub 3 yesterday and the openbox v5s will not connect to it by ethernet home plugs.Line showing offline.Tried the usual,rebooting box,router,home plugs but no joy.Reconnected old VM router and works fine.Iis there a setting I need to change in the new router to make it work.Ive read there is a workaround by using wifi dongle but would prefer hard wired.Also another search suggested turning off dhcp in box settings and assigning static ip.Any help/suggestions appreciated.

The VM superhub 3 is the host of a corrupt chipset of which VM are fully aware and couldn't care less about.Hub 2 works perfect so all are advised to hang on to hub 2.
