Openbox V8S test lines not working

so your annual line is a cline and works fine? you just want to use a nline but none will work on the box. Looking over all the posts and I've set up many openboxes I have never come across this issue so I am at a loss

take your actual sat box with the line installed to your mates house to test

if the box works fine at your mates house and gets all channels then its not a sat box problem. If the box works at your house but only receives some of the sly channels but not all of them I would look at the dish/lnb and sky ariel as the problem,
if its getting no channels whatsoever it more than likely a router/isp problem.

tried my box with a test line in another house and it didn't work. Tried that same line in another box and it worked. So there is an issue with the box.

just an update.
I reinstalled the firmware and inserted my original line with amendments as requested by the line provider. everything is up and running now.
still unsure why i couldnt get test lines to work but my original line is working fine now.

will request a couple of test lines and will see if i can get them to work.

I don't think this has been mentioned but make sure your old line is removed from the box before you try your test line.

How did you fix your problem?

Reinstalled firmware and re-enter the line.
Didn't test a test line after I got my original line to work.
Moved to a VU+ box now
