I dont know what the problem is but I flashed my backup of wooshbuild to the box and it was fine everything working as it should.
I then tried vix latest again and the first thing I did after finishing and the wizard was to try and install samba from the box and it still wouldnt work, but would install through putty.
The last time I made a vix image in full was when it was version 5.1.019 and that backup worked so I have no clue as to why the latest ones wont install samba for me. The annoying thing is everything works except installing samba through the box.

Ive done it, dont really know how but I disconnected everything from the internet only had my box connected. Flashed latest image installed samba and it just worked. I then connected everything back to the internet and its been running ok ever since even after a reboot...So I dunno looks like it was some kind of internet problem.But I got there eventually and I now have atv and vix running in multiboot so alls good
