PCI Internet no connection

Hi everyone I'm having problems connecting my PCI to the Internet my iPad and phones are working well I rang the phone company and the singal is strong .we are with Vodafone and on trying to connect it is saying Vodafone unavailable device missing?
Also on the screen it has nvidia disconnected wan miniport(PPOE). Can anyone help ,thank you .
 
It should be as simple as plugging it in (it should automatically recognise it) and after a reboot it should be installed. If not just install the supplied drivers. Why is it saying vodaphone unavailable? An ethernet connection is a simple connection to your router and should be very simple. Have you got wifi on the pc? Did it not come with an ethernet port?
 
Thank you for replying this is very technical for me I think it may have something to do with my PC .what drivers are you talking about .showing error 678
