Picture freezes when I attempt to change channel to non freeview channel

Hi Guys,

I'm new to Tech Kings and hoping there may be a solution offered to the problem I currently have with my Z Gemma H2S box. I bought the box in July last year and after a relatively shaky start (the satellite channels would freeze regularly) I had generally good service from my line provider and the box. Now, early last week, I noticed that the box was only displaying the freeview channels. When I attempted to change the channel to view a satellite channel, the info for the satellite channel would appear at the bottom of the screen, but the freeview channel would stay and remain frozen. To unfreeze the picture I have to select another freeview channel.

I have tried everything within my limited knowledge to try and resolve the problem. I have asked the line provider if there is an issue with the server which he said there hadn't been. He states that there may be a problem with my satellite dish, but I carried out a physical check and there doesn't appear to be any damage. In addition, I've checked whether the box is receiving a satellite signal and it appears to be the case. I still have a valid subscription for the line so I haven't been cut off. I've asked the line provider / guy I bought the box from to offer some troubleshooting tips, but he's not interested. Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

select Sky1 channel ( which will presumably be a blank display)
Assuming you are on Wooshbuild V5, press the blue button, select Softcam option, select softcam panel.
If you are using cccam, this should show cam1 as CCcam 2.3.0, and cam 2 as no cam.
Below that active CAM1:CCcam2.3.0 no CAM2 active.
Below that details of your line connection including the address of your line.

If you can see these details your line is working.
If not try restarting your cam, I think it is the green button from memory, not on my box at the moment.

Hi Bobbywolly,

Thanks for your quick response. The problem is that I can't even change over to any satellite channel, let alone Sky 1. For example, I was watching BBC One before following your instructions. I tried changing over to Sky 1, but the picture has just frozen on BBC One. The only thing I can do is exit and go to another freeview channel. I can access all the menu options for the box though.

Not sure what build I have on my box, would I be able to find this out through any of the menu options?

Found the portal button. Definitely do not have a "WB" button, so figure I'm running a different system. "VIX" I think.
