I used PLayFy TV last night to watch F1 qualifying.
It has 5 or 6 options for F1, all with English commentary but the F1 Sky UK had a lot of buffering, I found that F1 New Zealand worked perfectly for the whole session, unfortunately it didn't show the build up to the session, only about 5 minutes before it started, unlike the F1 Sky UK that was the same as the UK schedule.
Hopefully it will show the whole race without any buffering today too 🙂
 
I am really pleased with this app.

I used the same F1 New Zealand option and was surprised to see that it covered most of the build up to the race, I only started watching it from 7pm so it may have shown the whole of it from 6.30pm.
It did have a few very short pauses but, unlike when we get the freeze on a satellite saying scrambled channel that takes a few seconds to clear again so we miss whatever happened while it was frozen, this did not miss anything at all and it was just the same as if I had pressed pause then restarted. 🙂
 
I just ran the latest version through virustotal and it’s detected 9 reports of infection . False positives or something we should be concerned about?

Thats why ive not been uploading it .

They could be false positives or China and Russia devilling into your privacy 🤣
 
I checked the original app 1.3 version and even that had 2 trojans on it.
Barely used it anyway no loss.

At the time of uploading 1.3 was reported by Virus total as clean.

That does not mean it is clean just that Virus Total vendors didn't recognise a threat at the time of the scan.
 
I had to install the updated v1.5 to watch the rugby today.
It ran perfectly with no ill effects so far.

It's a lot better than sportsfire that has become unwatchable due to freezing constantly plus stopping completely mid game.

Are there any other decent sports apps out there? Just a backup in case playfy has issues.

No problems for me since installing ver 1.5 on Android box. I only use that box to watch movies and sports. No log ins to anything like play store, gmail, or internet browsing.
