Playing movie files on usb stick

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help. I've got an ibox 2 plus with an external hard drive fitted in the back usb and installed. Am I able to play movie files from another usb stick fitted on the side with this external hard drive fitted?? If so how do I as I can't find the USB stick on the box when I've fitted it!

Yeah just plug it in to other usb port then go to where you record stuff on your other usb and yellow button to change location you should see your usb with movies there?
 
No it's not in there... Can only see my external hdd and internal flash?? Would in need to initialise this usb stick to the box or should it recognise any stick put in??

Yes mate..... I've always used it in my f5's to watch movie files

If I put an empty usb in it will recognise it... As soon as I download an xvid/avi movie file to it and plug it into box the box then won't recognise usb?? Surely these boxes will play them them? The f5s would play anything
