Plusnet blocking IPTV

Virgin media aren't giving out free V6 boxes out of the goodness of their hearts. It's costing them millions and they will almost certainly end the HD sport card sharing in early 2018.
It is not a co incidence that their own website says you will need - and get - a free new box if you wish to watch sport in HD yet no mention of HD movies etc - clearly under pressure from Sky or the FA.
They haven't been giving these expensive boxes out for free since... September? to suddenly backtrack......
Guess we will all find out come Feb!

Yes, HD Sports may go in Jan, but it's not the end of CS, or even close to it

I didn't say it was.
I said it would be the end of HD sport card sharing.
Which it will be.
Virgin also won't be in breach of any contract.
They have simply stated that in order to continue to receive a service, the user needs to upgrade - for free.
There are many many services where this is common practice.

In fact, go way back to when Sky used to be an analogue service. They had every single customer change box so it could decode the new digital signal when they flicked the switch and analogue was shut down.
No breach of contract in sight.
As mentioned, the user just needed to upgrade (for free) to continue to receive the service they were paying for.

Hd channels will slowly disappear when the full launch of full 4k broadcasting is announced thats why most of the hardware was fitted to the v6 box to pretty much future proof it for at least 10 yrs with sly planning on a total dishless system in the near future

Thanks wooshman . You don’t know the best way to get a vpn on my vu duo do you?

I did a tutorial for a solo2 using PIA, i'll try and find the link.

Most IPTV suppliers will get blocked at some point, it really depends if they put measures in place to ensure they stay unblocked. Mine does.

Hi all my internet provider has blocked me on iptv, no channels stream when my zgemma is connected to internet talk talk if a turn on my hotspots on my phone all works fine, anything can try without having to use a vpn and does anyone no why this has happened

Why has it happened? To stop you from watching illegal football streams.

Go into your talk talk online account and turn off the web security they offer, this can sometimes block connections. If that still doesn't work then your IPTV server has been found and they are stopping connections to it as you have found.

By law they are allowed to block connections to servers streaming illegal football while the football match is on. This is EPL games and also the other one (I don't do football so don't know the names). What they now seem to be doing is not turning the blocks off when they should after the football. Well who is going to report them for blocking an IPTV Stream?

If you still don't get it running after turning off the stuff in your isp account then you are looking at a VPN or changing IPTV provider. Or give then chance to move servers. Remember though that it is you who is being refused connection to the server by your ISP, it isn't the server with the issue.

Thanks for the info, when connecting my box to my mobile hotspots it works fine. I have a vpn but the settings for inbound server are wrong not getting very good speed less than 10mb. It was night when watching sly f1 channel it all happened
