Tp.link are really good to use but powerlines can cause drop outs and loose sync don't plug into extensions make sure plugged direct into a socket for better performance
 
Reason I asked the question is 'cos my experience with these has always been extremely poor. Main problem has been drop outs. I'm aware that they don't work well when plugged in extensions. I'm after the ones that are likely to be most reliable drop out wise.

That's the problem I found with power lines was the dropout EG for me it's when the kettles put on they always use to drop out
