Private DNS's for IPTV

I recently took a punt and purchased a cheap service from an online market place, whilst I know you get what you pay for, ive noticed im clearly just a number in someone else's mega panel - that said, im using 'private' DNS's but conscious all the users have the same one, as I recommend this service to friends and family im hesitant that as URLs go down, ill need to be tech support on how to update the URL for their playlists.

My question, whats a better way to manage this? I dont fancy hosting my own URL just so I can find the updated URL and on-mass change theirs, how are others tackling this?

You use the URL given at all times. How else can you connect to server? Probably will get closed if you bought it off eBay

You can use xtream-editor, import the content, prune it down, edit it, etc and then issue your family/friends with the URL. If/when/as the 'main' url changes - you will be able to update the editor panel within seconds so your family and friends wont even know the URL changed!

However, editor isnt free so it will add to the cost and if you've already purchased a cheap sub - editor costs about £5 per user!

I have the €15pa package and can add 5 playlists and I can add 10 users.

If you don't want to go the IPTV Editor route, there are also players that allow you to manage people's playlists from the cloud. iMPlayer is a great one. Sparkle sort of supports this via cloud backup. Ibo is a classic (though not my favourite).
