Cable Quick question setting up virgin/cable box

Hello everyone, my Aunt has asked me to put a box in her bedroom. She already has a virgin cable there, is it as easy as purchasing a zgemma box, loading on the virgin skin and adding her a cccam file?

No a little more complex then that.

Requirements:
zgemma h1/h2/h2h (if your going down the zgemma root)
adapter for the cable so it's able to be plugged into the zgemma's cable tuner port
most cable lines are n lines not c lines.
internet feed then you should be okay :)

Ok, so the virgin cable goes into the that connector pictured at the bottom and then in to the RF IN?

Do you access the box via that file zilla program and type in your line in the cccam.cfg file?

I have a spare line on a server I have for friends and family, it will do cccam or mgcam.

Finally where do you download the virgin skin from, is it like the slyk one where it is all setup?

The bottom one is for satellite dish the RF is for cable, you need an F adapter to plug cable in

Yes the vm cable goes into the adapter then into the RF in

Yes you do access the box via ftp (filezilla) but most cable lines are n lines. N lines use a different cam (mgcamd). you put your n line a file called newcamd.list which will be located in the usr/keys/ location on the zgemma.

Ok, just adding these to the watch list as we go along lol. Ok just need to know now if the server I have will scramble virgin and where the virgin skin is.

dont forget box will need a cable feed + lan connection for box to work.

Yes, ordered an ethernet cable and there is already a virgin cable in her bedroom, ordered one of those F cable things too

Hello, just setting this up now. I have loaded the new skin on as per the link you have provided... http://www.techkings.org/openvix-openatv-skins/94048-new-skin-vskin-hd.html (ftp'd it to my box as per this intructions) I was just looking within the ftp program where to put my line "you put your n line a file called newcamd.list which will be located in the usr/keys/ location on the zgemma." However I don't have a newcamd.list folder.
