Re-use zgemma hard drive

Hi there.
I’m trying to use the usb hard drive from my zgemma h2s, which I don’t use at the moment, in a formuler z7+ for recording purposes. However the z7 doesn’t seem to recognise the drive. My son has tried to reformat it for me on his pc but has been unsuccessful.
Any advice on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

We have tried that a few times with no success. It fails to complete.

Try MiniPartitionWizard, has never failed me yet.

Didn’t work either I’m afraid. Thanks. It didn’t even recognise the drive whereas HD’s guru did.

In Windows search type diskmgmt.msc and see if it's listed there. If it is, right click on it and Delete Volume. Then right click again and "New Simple Volume". Then format.

When I try to delete volume I get “the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error “

Thanks for your help guys. We eventually sorted it, not exactly sure how, through a combination of diskmgmt and mini partition tool. :)
