Hi

I am running my h2s and also use IPTV player and I'm currently with BT on fibre broadband but my contract is ending so I am looking for a new ISP. Can anyone recommend a good company to use. I'm concerned about traffic management etc I don't want my IPTV suffering from buffering etc due to the ISP throttling or their traffic management policy. Thanks

Pretty much all isps have to include some form of traffic management to stop users hammering the network so much that its effects other users. Most only use it as a last resort but its there for the just in case moments.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I guess any provider should be as good as the rest then? Any particular bad ones to avoid from anyone's personal experience?

i have sky fiber and i aint had no problems and they claim to be the only provider without trafiic shaping or download limits.... mine is awesome i can do a speed test (I KNOW THERE NOT REALLY ACCURATE) and mine is always running at 40mb day, night, afternoon. pings are around 12ms and download 40mb

Absolutely not true.

Rule of thumb : if you've seen an advert or had direct mail from them - avoid - they should be spending that budget on their network not marketing.

Poke around ISPreview.co.uk and thinkbroadband - both have no skin in the game when it comes to ISP #1 V ISP #2 (unlike Uswitch and the like who are financially dependent on kickbacks from the ISPs they want you to switch to)

Only problem with BT is I have their smart hub and it's always dropping out and I have reset the router frequently. BT have been out and can't find any fault with the line etc and just say it's one of those things....absolute nightmare cos my channels obviously stop every time the internet goes off.
