Router advice, split VPN?

Currently using a Plusnet router and I need to get a VPN for my IPTV and I need to get extra range, around 40-50m. Would I be better off connecting another router with VPN setup to my Plusnet one or buying a better router that can support split VPN?

Get a vpn router and you can plug it into the plusnet one, that way it will not slow down other devices in the home

Most routers allow for multiple, separate networks on. If your router doesn't support it you could look to get another that would or you could create a vpn tunnel from your pc to your device, then you wouldn't need another router.

I been looking at how to split device traffic so you can choose which device uses vpn and which goes straight out through the ISP and using ASUS WRT based router you can use achieve this using Asuswrt-Merlin custom firmware on the router.
