Hi guys

is ther server down at the moment as my box hasbt worked for over a week

software won't update and trafficking info not working

I think the eterhnet port is knackered . Green light on and yellow light flashing

if it's the port can I simply solder one in from
and old PC or is more complicated than thst
 
that's your problem with box, the firmware is that old it wont let you internet upgrade. You will have go to downloads for latest firmware, read stickies re flashing which I think you will have to do, its about 3 years ago since I had a kv box

thanks mate,:)

i dont have null cable but my laptop has 9 pin connector and i can fit this dirrectly to the kv box. would this work?the kv box has 9 pin but only three pins in use

I remember when I first bought the box I had same problem. I spoke to the guy i bought it from and asked me to do
Some checks and one of them was to see if the traffick info works.

When that didn't work he straightaway said ur box is knackered and he gave me a new one.
 
My A780 went down 2 days ago tried all the usual stuff....Edinburgh area...any suggestions ....reccommedations on newer model for use on virgin cable

does any know how i open this stupid load file? i have download it and when i click it to open it tells what programme should i use to open the RAR file.
it doesnt come up like it says on the tutorial. what am i missing?this is sooooooooooo peeing me off.
 
thats chris, after hours of messing up im ready to go.
BUT, there is always a but and nothing goes to plan.
when i click on start it says download not requested. im on the right port.

any ideas?

it worked for a bit, went to 10% and download failed

what a night mare, i mangede to upload the software after disconnecting the 9 pin socket from the box as it didnt connect properly.

still doesnt update the software and traffick info doesnt work.

rest to factory and scanneda gan but no joy..

any other ideas guys?
 
if you followed the tut box is powered off at rear,file is extracted and put into the loader,press download and power on box at rear,might have to try com 1-4 on the loader to see which works.
and it is a null modem cable from rs232 box to pc?


if you updated firmware what date is it??
