Hi I need some help please I have just bought a New Sky Box F5s from China for my Daughter and need to set it up to receive Sky UK it does not have a Sky UK channel in the channels list and how do I set this up please I already have a Sky Box F5s and have tried to copy the settings from this but it doesn't work where am I going wrong I have searched the forum for a setup for the Skybox but can only find one for the F3 setup and the link does not work can anybody help me please I have set it up to Astra C1 and downloaded the channels but don't know how to set up the channels in the Fav ? Need some help Thanks

When you say you copied the settings, did you do it by taking an image of your box and trying to update the other one with it?

It may well be a clone box, in which case you'll need to flash it with the correct firmware

Hi guys. I'm completely new to this and found this forum so helpful. I've decided to buy a skybox. Just wondered if there were any tips on avoiding the fake replica ones. Where is best to buy? Also, after I purchase, I'll be looking for a decent cline if anyone has any recommendations. Thanks in advance.

No sorry I meant copied the settings by righting them down and tried to put them in manually to the new box.

I know that the Astra C1 is the right Satellite so if I edit the name to SkyUK28A and download the channels list and install them on the new box will that work ? I need the channels in the FOV list the channels !!

I just need to know how to set up a new F5s Sky box from scratch to receive Sky UK !!

first go to the official skybox website (ends in .cc) and download newest firmware. then;

if you are trying to use the same "gift" it wont work. but if you have uk gift try using update by usb with ur c
 
you will also find you cannot use the same cline if your daughter does not live at the same address as you different ip address
