Should we disable Automatic Updates on Firestick? Can we do it?

Our use case for Firestick 4k Max, we use the following apps

- Stremio
- Eye Pea Tea V app
- YouTube

Considering the recent crackdowns on Firestick. Would it be wise to disable the automatic updates so that nothing is installed that would block sideloaded apps?

Apologies if this has been raised before.

Hi,
I've read that new updates on the firestick will soon block some third party apps... IPTV smarters etc might get blocked I understand. I tried blocking updates with unbloat tools but no luck, does anyone know other ways? Thanks ☺️
