Sky Standard broadband speed

Prob asked loads of times before in regards to speed required for IPTV. I have placed an order for standard Sky broadband. Guessing speed will be 5MBS - 12MBS but have to factor in it will be 5MBS.
I will be using IPTV. Other threads iv read said this is enough. So is this enough? As well as i will others in household using WiFi connection. Potentially streaming YouTube and Facebook etc as well. Max 3 other users. Obviously won't be 3 all time. If 3 devices plus IPTV will i notice any lag on IPTV and on any of the devices.

You might get problems mate, but you'll only really know when you get it installed. Seen some people say that theres runs on 7mb-10mb, me personally i would recommended about 15-20mbs.

Only issue with sky you don't get refund on installation costs. Delivery and installation was £25 so although il have a cancellation period il still lose out on £25. Shouldn't really be the case but sky operate like that. My installation date is in 10 days. Currently no Internet. Now TV offer for fabfibre has just come come out for similar price but means having to wait another week as most have 2 week wait period. Kids doing head in so catch 22

Sly are bastards honestly, personally there internet has never did the job for me, they also love increasing your monthly bills without letting you know, sneaky bastards. Shit situation you are in mate sadly.

my kids moan if i switch router of and back on again what is the world coming to lol your better off with fibre if u can

Get on uswitch or ring them up tell them you interested but you don't want to pay the fees. If they want you as a valued customer they'll waive the fees. If not f#ck em off

You ever done that or know someone who has?

Iv already signed up but couldve tried. You reckon if i threaten to cancel they might refund fees? No installation yet.

my contract with sky had a month to run I was on standard broadband I rang them to try to upgrade to fibre and they wanted £59-95 activation fee so told them no chance Vodafone is free .so they waived the fee. I have tried that before with sky and they wouldn't budge, I think it depends who you speak to and if they can be bothered
