SkyBox F5s gives blocky pixels and stuttery picture

So i hadn't used my Skybox for a few months.

I turned it back on recently, and am noticing weird things happening to the picture on all channels.

This is not going to be easy to describe but i get a blocky picture, huge blocky pixels on the screen, and the picture is very stuttery! Constantly flickering etc.. You can't really see whats going on underneath.

It definitely something in the box, as I've replaced the box with one from my other room using all same cables and that one works fine. Its just this box thats behaving weirdly on picture.

Anyone had this problem before? Anything i can try to do? Just so you know Im going to consider myself a newbie still as I'm pretty new to this stuff.

Thank you for the quick response.

Can you please help to guide me how to do this? Is it the same as upgrading the firmware? Ive never done this before, so if you know a link which can walk me through it, i would greatly appreciate it!

Download last known firmware for your box--add to formatted [fat32] usb key and just use the normal upgrade method.
Also try a different psu as the originals tend to weaken after a long period.

okay thank you, i will try this tonight. I will get the firmware from Skybox.cc and give it a go.

@Reaper, please can you help me confirm is this the latest firmware that i need to install/upgrade to to flash the box?

Okay i installed the above firmware update from USB.

After it was complete, and i tried to exit the menu it kept saying NO CHANNELS! I then upgraded the channels list through the USB also, but still no channels appeared.

I restarted the box and now everytime it just reboots loads, tries to go to a channel called Entertainment and then just blanks out, the UI also appears all fuzzy and messed up like something going across the screen. I can not enter the menu again now either :(

Is the box dead? Does this mean it needs to be thrown away?
