Well if you follow what I write, I did say a few days ago my keyboard malfunctioned and blew up. I had to wait until monday until I could nick a new one from work. :)
I actually thought I posted a reply. It mustn't have posted.
As Chabs says there is no easy way without writing a massive amount of python code that does very little.
Here is the python component for the start cam.

Right I have spent the last couple of days perfecting my toppicks script as much as I can. I am now happy with it. Unfortunately I now don't want to remove any of the screens for a small menu ;)

I just now need to write in the menus. I also need to test something dsayer said about not needing to update wget. I will have to reflash my box to test that though.

yeah i did read that you had a keyboard problem; i didn't mean to sound rude so apologies if it came across that way; only asked again as i saw you had replied to others well after i posted but i did mention you may have missed it; but you say you thought you had replied so that's fair enough; not an issue :)

thanks for taking the time to post the link for the softcam pythin; i'll take a look at it - i think if it's a possibility to have it working with timeshift/recordings it may be worth it in the long run to have it on the box as would be a very cool feature if e2 can handle ok; skin is top without it; just satisfying to push e2 to the limits :)

your top picks screens are looking brill; very nice work; can't wait to see it in action

porky that isn't really possible as such, because there are lots of variations of what people are doing. Some people are doing one thing on one screen, while someone else maybe doing something totally different. That is why silver keeps trying to keep an up to date list of what post number certain mods can be found on.

I will write a new thread showing how these guys can write their own ipk file. Once they finished faffing, they can create their own ipk file and share it with the world for easy install

there was talk about making an ipk a while ago, with wilko I think. But it went over my head he got it working

post 525 porky HERE is the most up to date list on the thread with all mods since post # 1 It was compiled by myself last week, i went through every single page and post of the thread and compiled the all the mods into one simple post; from there you can be taken to info about each mod; i did it to try and simplify things so members can see what they can mod on their box - i will try my best to keep it as updated as i possibly can (in between working silly hours at work lol) with working links to the member's profile for if you have any questions, the link to the mod's post and a download link either on post 525 or on the original uploaders post

I think I am ready to release my toppicks version now. I have just tried it on a July backup build with no wget hacks and all seems to be running how it should.

To stop confusion of all the different versions of this I will start a new thread. (give me about 20 mins to prep it)

Sorry for the delay but I promise to upload the mods by 2morow.

I was busy sorting out my main PC the past few nights as I was replacing my crashed HDD.

Did you manage to save the HDD in the end? Hate it when that happens I really feel for you; absolute nightmare, did you have a backup?

Look forward to testing out the mods

With Kiddac's new finished released top picks screen will your mods work with it in the way that the look of the screen can stay the same with kiddac's scripts and the bouquet selector in the search bar, but have the changing text and images etc for yours if that makes sense

The bouquet screen will be almost the same...

ok no worries, when you say menu screens do you mean when pressing just menu or will it effect the screen 'look' if that makes sense when epg is pressed?

apologies i find it quite difficult to explain what i mean sometimes; would like to be able to use kiddac's scripts but perhaps with your screen with the changing pngs

oh good, that's the main thing then , was going to tell you not to throw it away just yet if you weren't able to recover as there's a few advanced things that can be done to recover most if not all the data off it

I have just made it easy for you mate.

amended the epg.xml

use the <screen name="GraphicalEPGPIG2">

I have added all that you have requested in there...

just make sure you have all the png files I sent you in the correct location...

on epg the duration has gone but the service icons aren't there either?

I had to rename the bouquet names to fit them in between the tabs and the "|" - have i done it the right way because when i scroll to another tab it all muddles up

from all channels added extra spaces by renaming the bouquets and fits

Hey mate how did u seem to get the gap between the channel number and service name as you are using ab E2?

i didn't use abe2 in the end ; i closed the gap by creating the line 'servicenumberpadding="0"' on epg.xml ; where it says 'servicenamepadding' ; just add the line under it and set to 0

This was done for Woosh 4 so if you try it make sure you backup your original files.
You can edit the ones on your box using Easy Python Decompiler and Notepad++ which is probably the safest option.

You are using xml import for your epg. Thats why the text is big. Cross epg is the best for epg. For those ppl using epg import then this format is not usefull because the text will always overlap.

Change the Z position of the list widget in movie xml screen movieselection1 to 4 or 5 then restart ur e2 to display the list. The planner background is overlaping the list widget...
