... and I am hoping I can make this available as a standalone component rather than amending the orginal python components.

I got to put the false tabs in the background.
I haven't tested it with directories yet.
Find away of converting the free space to a progress bar.
And strip out all the now unnecessary setting options for this screen.

So plenty to do yet.

Opinions please. I am unsure what to do with the date/time box
I don't really record on my box, and everything in my list is only there when I have been testing.
Do avid recorders want to know what time the program was recorded like I have it now. 27.09 10:00
or would people just prefer the date. i.e 27 Sept 16

Blank please. You could even have it on the top left section in the programme info area in place of the channel name seeing as how youve already got it on the menu columns

Am curious about the progress bars you've got kiddac do they work with the part 0 to 4 png so it shows

the progress bars work in the same way as if you choose the option to have progress bars instead of icons. So they show in quarters. I was just going to to show you a screen shot, but upon scrolling through the recordings my box just crashed. D'oh.
I have been hacking away at this original python code without testing it. I might need to start a fresh and not be so brutal now I got my shell of a code.
I will start again tomorrow. It was working not so long ago on scrolling so something I have done last minute has broke it.

Personally, the date is enough... i just need to know the order they were in so we watch the right ones :)

Looks great.. i'm not a huge fan of having the recommended stuff on the screen like in BigC0ls, however it is still very nice work.

Looking forward to having this as it just makes it look one step closer to the official box.

I agree date is enough, and yeah the Toppicks on the recorded list, serves its purpose on the new splash epg screen better than limiting space on the recording screen. Each to their own I guess, but good work either way

i think its because it doesn't crash just loops try looking for your logs directory menu setup system log setting

Yeah its just set the same as yours /home/root but just readded the 3 xml files from chabs rar file and all the folders, but bootloops and nothing in this folder during or after loop (once ive replaced files with my backups)

chabs its something to do with the menu.xml ive added them all and get the same issue as gman but if i leave the menu.xml out it boots up but doesn't look good because it defaults back to basic skin

Working now. The problem was in menu.xml as one of the widgets didnt have the starting < so was causing bootloop.

Its in screen name menu_rec and its for widget source="menu"

Any chance you could include the infopanel menu as one of the menus when you traverse through the selections? Like on mine for example ive done this - but selecting the individual options just remains on the tv guide icon

yes..I think it can be done but then you will have to do individual setup info panel screens just like the menu screens...and make graphic files for them as well...
