Yeah I've transfered them 2 and renamed the ones to "-old" just double checked .
The location you said was that a typo ? As I've put them in
Usr/lib/enigma2/python/components & screens
I did notice it's created a new pyo file of each I'm guessing that's what should happen the bottom picture is the bottom half of my extras.xml

Switch back to the other layout in the settings. If you are still getting no information your epg probably wasn't populated when you recorded the program.
Other than that, see if there is actually code in to bring in the description in this mod ( I don't even know whos mod this is, I get confused with all the posts in this thread)

Hi, yes download a program called edEIT.exe and open it go to your eit file created by the zgemma / enigma2 and add all the information you like on your movie / program then hit the save button and come out of the director and go back in and all will be there :O)

This is my planner mod ; all works fine here malkin you could try downloading the files again and trying again with this ftp DiskInfo.py and MovieList.py to /usr/lib/engima2/python/Components and rename MovieList.pyo to MovieList-old.pyo , DiskInfo.pyo to DiskInfo-old.pyo and make sure you download Kiddac's MovieSelection.py from his dropbox account and ftp to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens and rename MovieSelection.pyo to MovieSelection-old.pyo

Then ftp 'search-planner.png' in /usr/share/engima2/slyk-1-hd/icons ; 'movies.xml' to /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd ; and 'planner-hdd-progress.png' to /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd/mods (create 'mods' if you don't have it)

There is also 'main-templates.xml' in the download for changing the mini-tv current service text with a blue background bar and added in the current event; this isn't needed for this mod but if you'd like to use it it needs to be placed in /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd

When I posted the download link I accidentally missed adding the amended select-bar; I'll upload the complete set of files to this post for you; 'planner-bar.png' goes in /usr/share/engima2/slyk-1-hd/myselectbars

When you've placed all the files in the correct locations; edit extras.xml (use the extras.xml from the same IPK you have installed; works best with Kiddac's latest version) and change MovieSelection to sly planner

Restart your GUI and then press Menu whilst on the Planner Screen, and then go into Settings and scroll down to 'Use extended list' and change to sly planner

You should then have the complete mod working; if the EPG data is still not there; then as Kiddac has advised your EPG data may not have been populated in order to bring in the description for the recording

don't worry found it :) menu-templates.xml changed to CENTER and it has worked brill, now i've centered the text i've slightly amended the menu bar to two arrows :

Is it possible now to change the various settings screens to something similar, so for example, here's my AV settings screen :

Would it be possible on the right list (HDMI / disabled / 1080p etc....) to center that text so i can then change those to double arrows < HDMI > apposed to <> HDMI

and for the other settings screens (auto language selection, customise, epg etc etc...)

Just trying to get it a little more like official sly in the setup screens, here's what i found from official sly :

sorry to bump up a post that's already been created; but i think it may have been missed in the loop as there was a lot going through it last night haha; could anybody help with this? i've managed to center the text on the menu screen (using chabs' menu mod) and then amended the menu select bar to two arrows ; I'm now looking to see if i can center the right hand selectable texts on the settings screens and seeing if there's a possibility of capitalising them; but not sure which file(s) to change ; thanks in advance

No you cant do that easily. On settings the left and right data are brought in together. They are not seperate. So you have no control of alignment

That's a bummer then, that rules that one out haha, if they're brought in together would the whole lot be able to be center aligned?

i refalshed my back to orginal state no mods or anything recored a program still the same any ideas, when i use emc plugin it populated

when i delete the program go in trash folder the epg has populated any ideas doing my head in

What do I need to install to make the ch+/- buttons change up and down whole pages in the EPG? Think I've installed something over the top but I've no idea what and I don't want to remove everything else I've added by reinstalling the skin if I don't have to.

I cant use the left or right to search the epg like it says? does this actually work? I did look in the extras file but wasnt sure what to look for.

It doesnt actually work exactly like sky in the sense that it will scroll across to dominic s... as it actually brings up either the single epg, or multiepg, depending on ur settings in infobarEPG settings or graphical infobarEPG settings pages.

Are you saying you left and right doesn't do anything?
there is a setting to change so you can bring up the multiepg when you hit right
or it can be turned off

on the atv image i have created using your mods I use the up down arrows in menu and the picture changes in the top right to show things like a power button, a clock for timers etc etc, so my question is if we can do this for the main menu would it be possible to do it for the epg menu, so for example create 8 boxes in the epg menu all with the highlight square round them for each category so if i pressed sky box sets that would be highlighetd if i pressed planner that would and so on ?
