Yeah i really like it mate, but im going to be sticking with mine, as ive now got the bouquet selector component back into this screen.

Kiddac said he wouldnt include it in his official releases because the bouquet selector had a purpose, whereas my splash screen didnt, as i got rid of the selector. Now that ive reincorporated it into my mod, i hope he now changes his mind, especially if someone (maybe chabs) comes up with the coding to update the toppick images

but why don't you have a bigger tv screen like the original. and have your mini bouquet where the tv guide graphic is. That would be cooler.

Looks good, what would the new code be please grantdavy91.

all the amends were in mymods.xml, I changed the tv preview screen size and moved the current service name/border, but credit goes to gman, awesome mod!

I've also added the blue box background around the text on the main menu screen, removed the yellow border in main menu screens from planner/sly cinema/sports, and increased the border around tv guide on top picks screen.

this upload will rename 'TV Guide' to 'Top Picks' on the top picks screen, but if you want it to show 'TV Guide' gman has indicated a few posts up where it can be changed

cheers :) yes i did try it with the bouquet selector but i think i prefer it without, did you know that you can get into the bouquet selector by going into EPG and pressing the TV button? :



Also with the bouquets selector if i want to open the EPG on the current channel i will have to scroll down to where it is on the list, whereas without it just opens on the current channel; but it is a top effort, the bouquets settings and how i like it is just my opinion; none of it would've been possible for me without your original mod, so thank you for all the hard work and sharing :)

not a bad idea ; would you happen to know (or know someone) how it might be possible to pull in daily graphics from the net using a script though, even if it's not going to be in your skin?

Just an idea, looks like there could be enough room at the very bottom of the top picks screen ; if it was set up to show one bouquet at a time and when scrolling to others the other disappears , if that makes sense

One is a seperate screen, the other is a widget in the epg.
And no I don't know anyone that can do your automation. The amount of time sky skins have been around, you would have thought some one would have done it by now. It's probably not impossible but as it doesn't exist it probably isn't easy.

Yeah i know, just another option/way to see it and use it :) I never used the setting for opening bouquet when epg is pressed until gman made the mod, and the reason I personally don't like it is because it always opens at the top bouquet, and I prefer to open the epg on the current channel.

Damn, well we can't have everything now can we; i'm sure in the future someone will take on the challenge :)

Only thing I can think of is changing the buttons over on your remote; by going into menu, setup, user interface, button setup ; you can re-assign buttons but then when you press menu, you infact get the epg and vice-versa.

Tweaked Gman's awesome top picks mod again

Made the the top screens (tv guide/boxsets etc) more landscape and closer together and very slightly made the tv preview screen smaller so it meets with the icons; I've changed the service name to the same colour as the rest of the text as well as changed the text 'TV Guide' at the top to 'Top Picks'

Other little tweaks are different set of images for the top picks, 'Today's Top Picks' text changed from white to blue, matching the rest of the text on the screen, increased border width of the tv guide image, menu screen 4 different icons at top more landscape and closer together, removed the yellow border from planner, sly cinema, sports images





Unzip skyicons.zip and ftp the folder to slyk-1-hd

Unzip mymods.zip and ftp mymods.xml to slyk-1-hd

Centered bottom top picks to meet in line with the top images, made smaller top picks 1 (walking dead) and made tv preview screen smaller slightly to meet with bottom images, and finally increased the gap between the end two top images and the tv preview screen by moving the position

I also have been messing around with tv screen sizes and icon sizes and i was almost pixel for pixel with yours. Ive incorporated your new official icons into my mod and also moved the bouquet selector down to the bottom of the screen as suggested (in order to get a bigger mini tv)

Whether i like it or not is still a decision im making as quite liked my original 3 line mini bouquet selector [emoji848] decisions decisions.

another suggestion for the bouquets selector if you want to see three at a time, just throwing this out there, how about making top picks 1 image smaller so it's like a banner type image, and then you may be able to fit 3 in under it? or perhaps kiddac's suggestion take off the tv guide image, and replace with the selector, although may be a bit of a tight fit

Tested my xlm file on

I'm not seeing the video preview before or after installing the my file
so if your not worried about that upgrade away, but I will look in to it

took me only a few mins to get all mods installed and running

also I need to change the infobar setup, as I want it to be standard when you install then change it in extras, to the new bar now next and later bar or the the older now and next bar.

so as said still testing and sorry for any problems please let me know


dont for get if you just upgrade and not a fresh install you need to copy everything back over again. You could re-use the extras files to save you editing it

Thanks jym, i do try :) It's definitely a possibility, but probably best conferring with gman in regards to the bouquet selector as I haven't used it on mine, I guess it would just be a case of re-positioning and re-sizing the bouquet selector to move it to the top??

Any update on the files / instructions for the epg amends at all?

No rush, just a lil reminder :)

Would like the length of the active tab reduced, duration of event swapped with SD,W,S etc icons, ch+/ch- text, faint blue "|" separator in between tabs, today and timeline text right alinged, removal of the info / menu button
