Just wondering if one of you geniuses would be interested in skinning IPTV player? I wouldn't even know where to start :nerd:

Problem with skinning 3rd party applications is whenever they change or update the plugins then you will have to add or change the screens and position of elements...

Ok so after realising I'm stupid I now see that the series link arrow is part of the up/down select bar, duh!
Only thing is I don't think you've included it in your mods grantdavey, please correct me if I'm wrong or just being plain stupid again

I however have an issue with the coloured buttons which don't appear as expected.

You need to go into settings and assign the yellow button to delete, you will then have the correct RGYB buttons :)

Google enigma2 skins. 12 months ago people were over the moon with what i would class as sub standard skins. How far us skinners have come since. And you guys still want more. You lot dont seem to realise how far the likes of me, chabs and rossi have pushed this creaking system. But don't stop. Points make prizes. We are all constantly learning off each other

I was using your skin for about 3 months or so and was over the moon with it ; and beforehand was using blue hd for over a year all defaulted and untouched and was quite happy with it ; I just like tinkering with it to see what I can change, it's oddly satisfying how customisable e2 really is and I enjoy changing things; but I'm very happy with Slyk and in my opinion one of the best skins I've ever used; I'm constantly learning every day almost with it and quite enjoying it; although the missus keeps moaning that the box is restarted every 5 mins haha!

And of all the skinners I know, kiddac you are the only one who has take time to give the users the options of having different personal preference with ease...that is something...but like I told you before...many people like myself would always try to keep these skin as close to resemblance to the original Sky...even if its just for visual only... :)

You've brought quite a bit to the party too Chabs - your menu mods etc - I like this little mods thread where there's a great deal of team effort and everyone showing there own little tweaks and mods; i know its mentioned all too much and it's easy to say but the hard work, time and effort for the creation of the skin is appreciated and keeps us all busy for those of us who just have to change little things haha!

ok this is where i am at with the toppicks mod

it's not finished as frustratingly you can't scrape the required pages. They just kick you out. (there's a shock)

screen 1 - brings in the latest sky cinema images
screen 2 - brings in the latest top dvds from zavvi
screen 3 - is a random cinema
screen 4 - is a random cinema
screen 5 - latest sky cinema
screen 6 - is a random cinema.

Overlayed picons are correct for 1,2,5. They are wrong for the others as not worked out yet how to get atlantic and living images. I could just created an offline file but we are trying to automate this.

There are two top picks titles as i am still undecided where to put bouquets/menus. I was just faffing.

All the other layout is pixel pefect. And all template driven so you can hide/show whatever you like.

All my files are in the the following zip. Script has been moved into usr/scripts as this way you can then reassign a button (i.e portal) to to a job run on this script. For testing purposes. It has also been amended for my links and a better randomisation.

I am off out now so i thought i would upload to see if its of any use to anyone who is faffing tonight.

Hi, I add my iptv streams to the bouquet and call it IPTV it then appears in the bouquet list, It uses the iptv backend. I would like to use some of the things in iptv player tho, there is a brilliant on demand section called serials I think and i has all UK tv programs in it.

I use a mount to my NAS drive on my box for all my movies, box sets and recordings, I also now worked out how to add custom metadata to the movies etc, Next thing I was hoping can anyone possibly create a sky box sets skin at all and maybe link to a bouquet I can create of my box sets on my nas?
This could look really cool and also be used by others with mounts setup

you can change it if you want but it won't make a difference i don't think as that code is for use of the infobar without picons defined in extras.xml

personally i'm not sure how you could add in the '...' for the now event, but I suppose you could render running text on it instead,

the code line 164 :

Any chance you could include the infopanel menu as one of the menus when you traverse through the selections? Like on mine for example ive done this - but selecting the individual options just remains on the tv guide icon

Yep it does ; chab's menu mod it can be found HERE (edit Gmanpanthro has also made the menu top picks screen HERE the screenshot you posted is gman's)

Does anyone know actually how i can center the text on the menu screen ? :



so the menu selection timers, information etc i want to make the text center aligned if possible

Current Service Time - Changed To 'skygold' colour

Now, Next, Later Service Names Rendered Running Text (text runs to left) (for long programme names)

Converted 24HR times on Now, Next, Later to 'SlykHDTime'

hi grantdavey91 I'm trying to get your channel mod working but not having much luck with it.
I've uploaded my mymods.xml and skin.xml files to see if I have it done right or NOT lol.

you need to have ChannelSelection3 set up in extras.xml - open extras.xml in /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd and find where the channel selection is and change to ChannelSelection3 ; save and ftp back to the box ; then restart GUI ; then provided mymods.xml is in /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd and you have the skin.xml with the included filename of mymods.xml ; it should work :) hope that helps mate

I'll upload the files for you just to make sure this works for you

As long as extras.xml is set to ChannelSelection3 ; this shouldn't fail

Place mymods.xml in /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd

Place Skin.xml in /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1hd

Restart GUI
