Smart IPTV not showing channel categories

I've the Smart IPTV app on my smart TV. I've paid a provider for IPTV. I've loads of channels, but when I press the blue button for groups i.e entertainment, sports, movies etc, it just has one group which says channels. All the channels are in that one group.

So basically I have to go through each page individually to find the channel I want.

My provider has tried things on their side with no joy. I've deleted the app, installed it again and still no joy.

Any suggestions?

Ask your provider to choose 'm3u with options - MPEGTS default' from his script generator, he's probably generating the wrong m3u

Did you have any success with this ? Mine only show one group - geniptv, and when I press that group all the channels shows.. what to do?

This forum gets over run with people buying cheap ass subs and then coming here for support. Nothing wrong with asking for help but your provider regardless of reseller or not is cheap because they basically offer no support. This is a 30 second fix.

If you have the M3U list (do not post it, it can be fixed) if you do not and your provider added it then only they can resolve.

If you have an M3U and it looks like the below

http://SERVERDETAILS/get.php?username=XXXX&password=XXXX&type=m3u&output=ts

Change it to

http://SERVERDETAILS/get.php?username=XXXX&password=XXXX&type=m3u_plus&output=ts

Once you've made the change upload it to the SIPTV website (read the how to on their website) and restart the app once done

Spot on and such a simple thing to do.

I had a similar issue for a few days this week on an LG smart tv with smart iptv. Im only a week or two into my sub which a mate has used for a few years with no issues.

However after removing the playlist and reuploading and unticking the 'save online' button on siptv its back working perfectly.

On a side note - im totally new to IPTV a bit unsure what is the best android box for iptv i quite like the look of the new amiko but unsure if anyone has reviewed it yet?

I always recommend smart stb over smart IPTV
Lifetime licence is more expensive but much better and will make your tv emulate the MAG box

Can't remember how much STB is these days but when it first came about the cost of buying stand alone hardware was not much more
