Smart tv and iptv

Hi all,

I have a Samsung smart tv and am having a few difficulties.
I have installed iptv app, have tried a trial supply and it seems to work (3 minutes a channel and various languages)
However I tried another supplier (one I have used previously with a v5 box, and although it loads all channels - nothing! Been told I may need vpn but still nothing

It seems that the smart tv switches off the network (wifi) when the iptv app is started.

Been pulling my hair out for 7 hrs now

Does this ring any bells with anyone???
Help

Hi there,
I'm very new to IPTV, but maybe I was lucky, managed to set up 2 Samsung smart TV's very easily. As above had to install the Samsung IPTV app (and this has to be paid for after a 7 day trial.) Installing the app gives about a dozen or so test channels-some which "work" but others that just make funny noises and show a sort of test card!?)
Had a couple of 24 hr trials from "suppliers"-one free, one cost a pound, both worked well-literally thousands of channels. All that was required was to supply the TV's MAC addresses to the suppliers and they did the rest!

Baurluvva-you should be able to check in your TV's "Settings" whether or not you have internet connectivity.

I have similar problem. i added the smart iptv app on to my samsung tv, having tested the examples i activated the app and uploaded a playlist only to find none of them will connect so im not sure what to do next?

Davo,
As I have already I am very much a novice and I don't follow what you mean by "uploading a playlist." From my very basic (but successful!) point of view once the app is activated you have to connect to an IPTV server which will load it's own channel list as a matter of course. This will usually involve the payment of a fee for anything more than a short trial.

I got Samsung smart TV installed the app and just told my provider my Mac address within the smart app. It works quite well at moment.

Yes,they usually do work very good..the test will be tomorrow when footballs on..hope yours is fine.

ps..If your using the Smart iptv app..you should ask your provider for the plus.m3u file.
that way you can use it on your laptop as well(not at the same time though).
You can then copy the file he gives you into the address bar and it will automatically
download the latest upto date m3u.
Then your incharge of uploading to your TV, yourself.
Be more in control and learn abit.
