Solve ISP blocking / throttling IPTV

Hi,
Can someone please give guidance on overcoming ISP blocking / throttling IPTV.
My IPTV provider suggests I get a VPN, as he has no issues at his end.

I am about 1/2 way through a 12 month sub and have 3 lines.
My setup, is as follows:
I have 78meg fibre (I get approx 50meg) from Pnet, using their HUb router.
I have the following connections to the router:
1. Zegemma h2s (for IPTV) via ethernet.
2. Homeplug conection to ethernet splitter, which feeds 3 devices.
2a. 1st is another Zegemma h2s (for IPTV)
2b. 2nd is a Youview box for watching catchup and Netflix.
2c. 3rd is an Android box for watching mainly Showbox (movies and tv series), plus some kodi.
3. Smart tv in bedroom (general viewing & catchup)

I have done some research, and found the following info:
VPN (Secure but can slow speed) or SmartDNS (Not secure but fast)
I read that loading a VPN to Zegemma h2s makes it sluggish.
Also read you can't get netflix via a VPN.

I don't want my online banking on an unsecure network.
Would a VPN router fix things, but are these expensive? What about Netflix?
Would fitting a SmartDNS modem be advisable to feed just my streaming devices, and then use the Pnet Hub for online banking etc?

Any advice for a tech novice :), would be much appreciated.
Thanks

install the vpn onto your zgemma.

some people have reported a significant loss of internet speed, but for most it is a few mps [for me i had 36-38 without and 32-34 with, or around that]

they dont slow zgemma's down at all other than the internet speed.

Yes I have already got Wooshbuild 7, but ive read that a VPN installed on a zgemma h2s makes it sluggish.

I've tested a little with Digitbit & Nord both have run fine on the receiver without noticeable speed drop

I’m running my iptv on a h2s, using pia vpn. My fibre is only 20mb & iptv works with no problems. I just have to restart my mgcamd after using my vpn.

Install wooshbuild 7 its got a plugin for vpn simple and easy to use
Could you provide any info on activating the VPN plugin attached to Wooshbuild v7 please? Only recently installed and not familiar with any of this. Thanks

Green button -> wooshbuild -> Easy VPN adder.

I have been corrected
Green button -> wooshbuild -> add-vpn-easily 1.02 (at time of writing)

Only use the VPN when you need it if your box feels slow. Turn it off when you don't need it.

How the heck did you get Private Internet Access set up on your H2s mate?
I've had them on my laptop for a couple of years and followed an install guide from here about a year ago but it didn't work.
My box is solely for FTA and IPTV so I don't need to worry about mgcamd.

.

I flashed my h2s with whooshbuild 7 & followed the whooshmans instructions.
Press Green button - select whooshbuild - then download easy vpn 1.02. Then click on easy vpn when installed & add your username & password. I’ve not had any problems since I installed it

Um, how does the easyVPN plugin make the link between the user name and password you have provided and PIA VPN though?

PlusNet are actively throttling iptv connections without a vpn,
they are doing it to me and a coupe of dozen more of acquaintances of mine.
