Sony Reader Touch Edition: Hands-on Video

A video has recently showed up on Engadget showing the Sony PRS-600 aka the “Touch Edition”, the major difference between this reader and other readers is the fact that you can freely annotate your books, which is very useful if using the ebooks for educational purposes.

The video can be seen at the end of this post, and features a detailed look into the new annotation functionality and the improved highlight function, it also shows how easy it is to use the readers dictionary, another feature it shows is its improved PDF reading capabilities.

The contrast on the PRS-600 is not as good as some previous Sony readers such as the PRS-505, however this is probably due to the new touchscreen interface, this touchscreen interface is also said to cause glare. For full details check out Engadget’s article and the video below.
