What's new

sound from pc

Check RAM sticks are pushed in all the way, could also be overheating, check fans also make sure you have enough coolant paste on the CPU.

Hi bazza8952,

Have you made any hardware changes lately like adding memory, changing hard drive etc etc,or worked inside of your PC ?.

Firstly check your internal cards and memory sticks, power connections to all drives etc are fitted securely, remove and re-seat all,

Secondly if still the same, if you are comfortable, you need to switchoff PC and disconnect all hardware like hard drive, DVD drive etc etc including the power cables, remove any internal and external devices like graphics\Sound cards, printers etc etc. Then switch PC on, depending on what happens regarding siren sound will determine your next step\s, If no siren sound then connect a card or hard drive etc one at a time with appropriate power cable, checking again after each one.

Good Luck,
jodav :)

A siren sound like this?

Or is it a couple of beeps?
Are you getting any picture on the screen?
Is there a hard drive? (thats hardware)

As youve already been told you will have to pull EVERYTHING including CPU
If you can boot into BIOS reset all settings to default.

Is the sound still there when you have disconnected the data cables AND power cables from your hard drive\s and DVD ROM drive\s when you switch the PC on.

I would suggest seeing if you borrow a power supply off another system if possible bazza before giving up bud.
