Pakistans Tour of South Africa is due to start Friday, consisting of 3 ODIs and 4 T20is.

My prediction for ODIs is 2-1 South Africa and for T20is is 3-1 Pakistan.

Maybe mate but I just dont rate Pakistan cricket team anymore.

The way they are picking players because of nepotism instead of on merit is what really peeves me off.

I think alot of the big teams should really pay attention to how India has perfected their system from the ground up and how they are churning quality player after another. I aint no fan of them potentially dominating the sport but fear thats what likely will happen over the coming years.

Back to the current series I do hope we see good competitive cricket and its not one sided as I believe it will be.

Interesting game today, real close one went down to the wire. A game that pakistan dominated until the last 18 overs. Pakistan should have won that game with 7/8 wickets remaining. Brilliant knock from Babar. 1-0 pakistan thus far, promises to be a good series.

They should have wrapped that game up with wickets and overs to spare and in the end you can say were lucky to win.

Babar showing why he is world class and why the rest of the Pakistan team is bang average apart from him.

I will be surprised if they win either series as still fancy the pitches with pace and bounce will be Pakistans undoing for the rest of the matches.

Brilliant innings by fakhar, to score 190 odd. Pakistan without hafeez, malik and haris sohail are playing a b team really and still putting up a fight in south african conditions, which no other team apart from Pakistan have won in. 2-1 for a pakistan series win

Have to disagree with those 3 name you mentioned mate.

Hafeez and Malik are not ODI players but more t20 specialists.

Sohail is pretty average batsman I honestly don't know why people rate him so much.

Imad Wasim and Haider should be in the team in place of Aziz and Asif. Shadab has really gone down hill last few years. Not sure who could replace him.

Fakhar was awesome and deserved 200.

Still think South Africa will have too much. Their bowling and batting is stronger imo. Just hope the t20 series is as competitive as the ODI series.

Sohail averages 47 in in ODIs and has scored scored over 5 4 out of the last 7 ODIs hes played

Hafeez is that rock at number 4 for pakistan he offers stablity and both him and malik are also options to bowl.

Wahab should be in this side also

Maybe I am think of sohails poor test stats.

Thing with pakistan they are evolving to younger players in their team over the younger ones.

I would take hasan ali over wahab riaz myself.

But it seems to me they have no idea who their best 11 are.

Yes they are going forward with a younger team. It is for the best to sort their best 11 out for the 2023 world cup. Haider has real potential to partner babar in being one of the best bats in the world

Ye like haider but so inconsistent.

They have good young players but they don't seem to be international level to me.

Haider needs time he’s still very young, give him 3-4 years and he will become a top player.

I think for the upcoming world cup this year hafeez and even malik have to be in the t20 team.

I would even have sharjeeel open with fakhar depending how he does in the t20 series.

Think big reason why pakistan struggle so much on pitches in South Africa and Australia is because they play on dead pitches back home. They either need to make pitches that are similar to those countries or have drop in pitches. That way the players would get used to playing fast short pitch bowling more easily.

To be a top top side you have to be good in all conditions home and away. India have proven this last couple of years to their credit.

I like Pakistan but how their team has fallen last couple of decades is infuriating same with the west indies.

If their board and selectors had the right people in charge and picked the right players on merit instead of nepotism or favours they could be more than what they are today.

it was nice game. fakkhar only did well rest played garbage. south Africa did really good. I heard this Danish aziz suppose to be good but failed this time.

Fair play to pakistan winning the series. Asian teams rarely do well in South africa so credit to them.

T20 series maybe close as South Africa missing key players who have left to play the IPL.
