starview 5

hi i have starview box 5, version 2.03, virgin media is my connection and im in dundee area. I get free to air channels but no premium channels i.e sky sports, Tryed factory reset and turning nagrivision key on and off but still no luck, Any thoughts on this pleaseeeeeee :(

Unfortunately andob5, your are is in the process of switching over to nargra 3, there is no fix or update that will bring that specific receiver back to life unfortunately.

would a eurovox be any help in sorting this or are they the same??

So far there are 2 receivers using Card Sharing that is a work around for Nagra 3, read these threads for more info -

is this the same for all cable boxes (apart from vm boxes) as i have a eurovox max v aswell as a starview 5? The eurovox just died on me with only the red power light comes on.
