Starview 7 just released, the box has no lan port but is connected via a dongle
installing sw is same as sv6, there is not much difference between the two models just the network port has been made external ..

The unit will work on sv6 or 7 software so you wont blow it up by loading wrong files and support will continue for all models 6, 7, and combo units..

thats good to hear that sv6 will still be supported as ive only had it for 2 months lol

Think its like anything personal choice, although i have heart that the KV are better and servers are better. Keep toying with getting one but far more complicated than the older Sv boxes
 
might get oen linny and toy with it a while, when im up and running i can stick the sky up in the girls room, but will leave it till after xmas as all the servers were shut down in ireland.
 
what price are you looking at for these starview 6 boxes........the ones that i see are £150 is that good or will i be getting ripped off......can anyone put me on to where i can get one from thats not going to need a morgage lol...also how do you find out what area code your under...i'm in Belfast if thats any help..ive been told i need the guinness download not the carling.....
 
morning all newbie here can anyone tell me how to get carling software off starview hd so i can put grooverider on first then carling cant seem to get rid of carling even with reset ta
 
ive just brought a starview 7 box.. would be loving it right now if i could watch it for longer than 5 seconds without 'scramble' coming up! can anyone give a helping hand?
 
hi am new to this site I am using the starview 7 with Carling 1.02 , All the channels were working for like 3 days .Now it all stop noting is working, anyone have any idea. cheers

can anyone and a link on to this down load ..1.01/1.02 as im looking to up load it ....

Linny40 S/V 7 is very easy to use
and far more simpler to use and setup than previous s/v's.
have seen quite a few now, all easy to set up.
Dont know anything about KV's so no comment.
Sorry to jump in . no offence meant hope none taken.LOL LOL

carling 1.02 , is the beer for me. 1.01 not good beer.

You should look for S/V section in downloads lots of info there m8y.

Stop moving ethernet cable, try factory reset ,no need to reload carling, search for channels again, don't forget the 8989 ,then switch on ustream if in uk.

Your best of using the most up to date which is the 1.03.ups all though I do not know what the difference is.
 
thank you will do but everytime i download the file cant open it i need a file ups extenion opener i dont know what my pc is missing for it not to open this file will keep trying to find out how to open it thank you
