What the 1 way if it is the SVHD+FIX connecting it to the serial port I have done that but it was not the same as when I got it it took it to far I think

and I am searching for channels right now at 10pm and I still only get 3 I am trying all firmwares I have downloaded GrooveRider_HD_Combo_+ and the Carling.combo even trying the KnightRider_HD_Combo_+ but none are working
al my other boxes are sound but goto HD and look what happends £200 down and a very expensive freeview box for sat
 
Nag 3 fix

If there is no fix for this problem, Starview are dead in the water for sure. This company is only as good as what it can sell not keep. If they dont fix it they can keep it the box is only good for flebay for an area that has not been hit yet. Nag 3 coming to you soon!
 
the carling file is corrupt use the guinness file
also do a factory reset before and after you reflash the box
but for your box to work you will need to do it with the update file from before march this year
because your area must still not be on nag.3 yet cos your other boxes are still working
if your area is on nag.3 then you would need the latest file(guinness) and your broadband aswell

and yes i think it was the svhd fix but the instructions were giving out wrong nothing wrong with the firmware to reset box though just guide to the way it works is wrong
a chap on another forum got it right after 6 hours of trying different ways

the combo does work on nag.3

So what we are saying the box does not pick up anything but free to air channels. true/fulse because I dont get sky movie channels share what card?:faint:
 
is your area on nag.3 if yes your half way there
do you have broadband & cable if yes then you should have all cable side working on your box aswell
download latest firmware to your box do a fresh scan then insert lan cable and follow guide to set up for cable side
 
hi all im really new to all this hdcombo stuff after having sv3 boxes! just wanted to know what software to use to actually load the required files to the hd combo?

if you have a hd combo+ like me you need the grooverider files and you put it on a usb to load them to your box but find out if you have the combo+(has a lan port in the back) or the combo(does'nt have a lan) if you have the combo sorry can't help you never had 1 and can't say for sure if the combo+ then I loaded the GrooveRider_HD_Combo_+_0122.uad file to usb and updated all and it worked but I upgraded mine further and I can't get mine to find more than 4 channels on the cable side so at your own risk try it
 
ah, well mine is a combo plus, its got a lan port! does anyone here unbrick them? i think i did a bad flash and now it wont switch on!!!

There is a fix for that get the file SVHD+FIX and you need to plug your box into the computer useing the serial cable and flash it to factory default run the HD-200_Download.exe choice what com port then choise what file while your box is turned of at the back when you have chosen the file turn the box on and it will flash it don't touch it untill it says done then your box will be as good as new but again beware as I have heard on here that doing this has bricked there boxes for good but I done it and it worked and since then I have done it about 10 times finding differant firmwares and trying them but all the time I only get max 4 channels in cable search
 
how long does it take to say completed?? ive found the software you say and i kept it connect for nearly 30mins and still havent said completed, even though the bar is at 100%

I did'nt right the post 30mins ago but if working it sould just count to 100% then straight away not more that 5 mins for the hole thing
 
rite the box has now booted up, system info says : name hd 300 combo
software version ver f3.47, ldr ver 00.21
hardware version ver 01.02

so what do i have to do now???

I updated all to Starview_HD_Combo_+_0128.uad first then do a factory reset then updated all to GrooveRider_HD_Combo_+_0122.uad factory reset again then search because if you do GrooveRider_HD_Combo_+_0122.uad first it did'nt work it says failed.

That's if all this works as I say I only get 4 channels at most searching in cable mode
 
thanks mate, i tried that but didnt get a lot of channels, how ever, some one told me to update using carling and presto, i got all my sports and movies, and discoveries!!

Good on you mate what carling did you use as I have it but did'nt work when I done it I will try it again if not can you send me you channel backup and see if that works for me. goto usb press green and back up your channels just hope that may kick it into shape because I'm getting p***ed of with this box
